Balloon FAQ – Your Questions, Answered

Q: How long do helium balloons last?

A: Standard latex helium balloons float for 8–12 hours. Foil (mylar) balloons can float for 3–7 days or longer. We recommend inflating on the day of your event for best results.

Q: Can I pre-order balloons for pickup?

A: Yes! You can pre-order inflated balloons or balloon bunches for a specific date and time. Just use our Balloon Bar to completely create your bunches let us know your colors, style, and pickup details.

Q: Do you fill balloons that weren’t purchased at Partyshop?

A: Yes, we can fill customer-supplied balloons with helium. Please note we can’t guarantee float time or durability on balloons we don’t stock.

Q: What’s the difference between latex and foil balloons?

A: Latex balloons are made from rubber and biodegrade over time — they’re great for garlands and short-term floats. Foil balloons are shiny, hold helium longer, and come in fun shapes like numbers, letters, and characters.

Q: Can I inflate balloons myself at home?

A: Yes! We sell helium tanks, hand pumps, balloon kits, and accessories for DIY setups. Perfect for at-home parties or event setups.

Q: What size balloons should I get?

A: Standard balloons are 11–12", great for bouquets and bunches. We also stock 5" minis, 18" foils, jumbo 24–36" latex, and specialty shapes to suit any setup.

Q: How should I transport helium balloons?

A: Keep them cool and avoid squeezing them into tight spaces. Helium expands in heat, which can cause popping — especially in a hot car!

Q: Do you offer balloon delivery?

A: Yes! We offer delivery in select areas. Contact us for availability and pricing.

Q: Can balloons be recycled or reused?

A: Latex balloons are biodegradable, but foil balloons should be reused or responsibly disposed of. Many foil balloons can be gently deflated and reinflated!
