Additional Information

Inflate the Largest Balloons First

  • Start with number balloons and larger foil balloons.
  • Finish with smaller balloons.
  • This ensures your most important balloons get filled if you start running low on helium.

Don’t Overinflate

  • Foil balloons should feel firm, but not drum-tight.
  • Overinflating wastes helium and increases the chance of balloons popping.

Stretch Latex Balloons First

  • Gently stretch latex balloons before inflating.
  • This can make them easier to inflate and help you get the best results from your helium supply.

Keep Confetti Balloons Slightly Smaller

  • Confetti balloons often look best when they aren’t completely full.
  • Slightly under-inflating them can help conserve helium without affecting their appearance.

Use Hi-Float for Longer Float Times

  • Hi-Float can significantly extend the float life of latex balloons.
  • It’s especially useful if you’re preparing your decorations the day before your event.

Inflate as Close to the Event as Possible

  • Latex balloons gradually lose helium over time.
  • For the best float time, inflate them on the day of your celebration whenever possible.

Keep Balloons Indoors

  • Heat, cold, wind and direct sunlight can all reduce float times.
  • Balloons perform best in a stable indoor environment.

Attach Balloons Correctly

  • Stretch the neck of the balloon and slide it fully over the black nozzle.
  • Hold the balloon firmly at the base while inflating to prevent helium from escaping.

Turn the Valve Slowly

  • Use a slow, controlled flow when inflating.
  • This gives you better control and helps reduce wasted helium.

Tie Balloons Immediately

  • Once inflated, remove the balloon and tie it straight away.
  • This prevents unnecessary helium loss.
